Low alloy steel - 8620

Low alloy steel - 8620 (1.6523)

8620 steel is a low alloy steel. It is a common, case hardenable (carburizing) alloy. It is more responsive to mechanical and heat treatments than carbon steels. It is utilized for various applications requiring good tensile strength and reasonable toughness.

It is used extensively by all industry sectors for light to medium stressed components and shafts requiring high surface wear resistance with reasonable core strength and impact properties.
